Our property is a freshly-renovated home with desert-chic, minimalist finishes and relaxed bohemian feel. The Mojave Stargazer provides privacy for those looking for a quiet getaway as it is situated on 5 acres overlooking a canyon. The property is also well-suited to families and groups, providing unique features including an outdoor shower, hammock, deck, BBQ patio, horseshoe ring, fire pit, a swing overlooking the canyon and an unparalleled view of the Mojave desert.
BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS

The house includes two bedrooms with comfortable queen beds, and one bedroom with a triple bunk bed, which is perfect for children, but also set-up comfortably for adults. Aside from the bedrooms, the home includes a very comfortable, top-quality queen-sized sofa bed in the living room. The beds and furnishings are all exceptional, from well-known designers and local artists, with great attention to detail.

The house includes two newly-renovated, modern bathrooms, one en-suite with a shower and the other with a shower/tub. Moreover, the property includes an incredible outdoor shower, perfect to cool down after a day of hiking, and a truly unique opportunity to soak in the views.

The house includes many amenities for small children, including a high chair and mini-crib with a luxury mattress, as well as many toys, a dollhouse, and childrens’ books. Kindly inform us in advance if children will be staying on the property.

In addition, the house includes Wifi, keyless entry, Bluetooth speaker, a water heater, swamp cooler and central AC/Heater.
Please note, there is no microwave and no television, promoting a relaxed, slower pace perfectly suited to the desert lifestyle.

Committed to Your Safety: Open Air Homes takes sanitization seriously. We are following all CDC Cleaning and Disinfecting Guidelines to assure you have a safe stay during this time. We are fortunate to have some of the best cleaners in the business, with many of them going on their 8th year of employment at Open Air Homes. We are genuinely grateful for their service and have always paid our cleaning team a fair and liveable wage. Our cleaners always wear masks and gloves, and sanitize all surfaces right before departure. Your safety is our main priority.

Guests will have access to the entire home and the driveway to park (plenty of space). There will be no one else on the property, other than the occasional gardener and spa serviceman, unless otherwise discussed with you in advance.

All 30+ day stays require mid stay cleaning by our professional housekeeping team. This is a full clean of the house and change of linens. We pay our cleaners a fair, livable wage and we always strive to hire the best, most reliable and honest cleaners in the business. This team in the backbone of our company, and they work tirelessly to ensure every stay is a clean one!

The Mojave Stargazer is located in the Flamingo Heights quarter of Yucca Valley, a quiet enclave only 10-15 min by car from the town of Yucca Valley, 25 min to the Joshua Tree National Park entrance, 15 min to historic Pioneertown, and just 1 hour to Big Bear Lake and Palm Springs. The area is one of the few neighborhoods remaining in the High Desert with large lots bordering National Park land, making the properties around us unique, private and boasting breathtaking views. The sunsets behind Mount Gorgonio and the sunrises over the horizon of Homestead Valley Canyon will make you feel reenergized and deeply relaxed.

The Mojave High Desert is a truly unique destination, and welcomes guests from all over the world. Although staying at the home is an experience in and of itself, we also provide many additional services to enrich your stay.

The Mojave Stargazer home includes a Guest Book with extensive recommendations of things to do and places to visit in the area. You will have access to this guide electronically once booking is completed, as well as a physical copy in the home.

Please note that this home is accessible by dirt road, which is common in the Yucca Valley area.

The best way to get around in the High Desert is by car. The closest restaurants and convenience stores are all just a 5 min drive away, and the home is only 15 minutes from the town of Yucca Valley and everything on Highway 62 (Twentynine Palms Hwy), which offers many grocery stores, restaurants and unique shops. It is only an hour drive to Palm Springs or Big Bear Lake.

We are also close to many extraordinary hikes in the area, and perfectly situated for visiting Joshua Tree Park, Sand to Snow Monument, Indian Cove and all the Mojave Desert has to offer.

Even though the house is at the end of a dirt/sand road, you DO NOT need a 4X4 vehicle to access the house. However, we are located in the BEST spot in the High Desert to go off-roading, and the property includes its own slope down to the canyon that will launch you into an off-roading desert adventure.

If you’re the type that wants to arrive and relax at the house on your vacation, Uber and Lyft are available as well, but the wait times may increase due to the more remote location of this home.

Open Air Homes is setting a new standard for the short term rental industry. During your stay, we rely on a centralized texting service so that you can reach us anytime simply with a text. Our property management team cares for each home, and our goal is to have each home properly maintained before you step foot in the home. We make your check in and check out process a breeze, and simply ask you to turn off the lights/AC and lock up on departure. Our team is well versed in the local community, and we offer each guest a personalized set of recommendations before your stay, with the goal of making your stay a truly unforgettable experience.

– By booking with us, you agree to sign our Rental Agreement and Waiver of Liability for use of Amenities.

– You understand that your check-in instructions will be sent after successfully signing our Rental Agreement.

– Pets and animals are not permitted at the property at any time whatsoever. Failure to comply with this will result in additional charge up to $1000 and/or eviction without limiting any other legal or equitable remedies available to Owner and/or Company.

All stays over 30 days require mid-stay cleaning. Please ask for more details.

This property does feature outdoor cameras for security purposes. These cameras are turned off when guests arrive and will not be active during your stay.

Please note that in the State of CA, guests staying over 30 nights are legally required to sign a legal CAR form with the DRE. Our Broker of Record will send you this CAR form for signature once payment is made. Your reservation will be considered ready to go once the form is signed!
