In the world of luxury rentals, less is often more. While visibility is crucial, overexposure can detract from a property’s exclusivity.  For example, if your home is available on every possible site, all at different prices and with different companies, your home can feel less valuable to travelers.  We carefully choose our marketing platforms, primarily focusing on Airbnb, VRBO, and direct bookings through our luxuriously designed website.    This strategic approach ensures our properties retain their allure of exclusivity and high value.

*Please note: We made the business decision to stop using Airbnb Luxe. Luxe demanded we maintain price parity with Airbnb Marketplace, yet their commission rate was higher.  This meant that for each Airbnb Luxe booking we would take, our homeowners partners would make about 10% less. Airbnb Marketplace has worked out just fine for us. 

2. Tailored Experiences for Every Guest

At Open Air Homes, we understand that the essence of luxury lies in detail and personal touch. We believe in making every moment count, from a guest’s initial inquiry to the fond farewell.

When a booking is confirmed, our team sends our a questionnaire about their personal preferences.  We “borrowed” this idea for a questionnaire from The Nobu Hotel in Cabo, but then made it our own by mixing in a little bit of the Unreasonable Hospitality idea from Restaurateur Will Giidara. We take the answers to the questionnaire and put together a detailed set of recommendations for the stay, depending on their personal preferences.
