About this listing

THE SPACE:

As seen in Architectural Digest, this quintessential Venice Beach retreat is the perfect mix of modern meets mid-century. No detail was spared in the design of this home. Privacy, comfort, and convenience make this home the ideal getaway. You couldn’t ask for a more suitable location – less than one block from Abbot Kinney and just a few from the beach! Work from home, grab lunch on AK, and retreat to your private infrared sauna in the evening. Enjoy each day in this surf-inspired, luxury home.

Square Footage: 3300

There is a separate guest house on the lot that has a long term tenant that travels a lot, but it is separated by a fence and has a different entrance so you would never know they were there either way.

Guests will have access to the entire front home. There is also the weekly gardener on the property, but no one else unless otherwise discussed with you in advance.

NEIGHBORHOOD INFO:

When visiting Venice Beach, you are entering the most walkable and bike friendly city in all of Los Angeles. We recommend exploring the great restaurant scene on Abbot Kinney, Rose Ave and Main/Pacific, as well as on the boardwalk. There has been a revival of the restaurant scene, and the shopping has always been top notch, especially on Abbot Kinney.

Be sure to walk Abbot Kinney, especially on the weekends, if you want to see a great example of the vibrancy of this community. If you’re up for a bike ride, take the path North all the way to the start of Malibu, or there is a secret path through Marina Del Rey that can take you all the way down on a bike path to Redondo.

We recommend walking the walk streets, and seeing all of the unique architecture throughout the entire community. The canals are also worth checking out to view the unique history of Venice Beach.

Most people choose to have a car when visiting Southern California. There are an abundant amount of unique and significant attractions within two hours of this home. If you’re an explorer, we recommend a car. This home is one of our few homes where parking can be a bit trickier, but it is typically available one street up on 6th ave a block from the home. In the summer, parking can be more challenging due to the proximity to Abbot Kinney.

If you’re the type that wants to arrive and relax at the house on your vacation, Uber and Lyft are readily available as well.

  • My parents stayed here after being evacuated from their home due to the LA fires. the hosts were gracious and accommodating. I will forever be grateful that my parents had a nice space to stay in during such a traumatic and trying time.

  • Open Air worked out great for our stay in Venice…it was so walkable to so many places, yet quiet for sleeping. Loved the outdoor spaces too and really appreciated the coffee!

  • Great location, and Open Air very responsive if any issues / questions came up during our stay.
