How to Get Started with Co-hosting
Transitioning to co-hosting with Open Air Homes is simple:
- Send Us a Request: Homeowners need to send us a request to cohost and grant us Full Access. We’ll also need to be made the primary host.
- Set Up Payouts: At the start, you’ll set up payouts to share the commission split of bookings and cleaning fees with us.
- Managing Existing Bookings: Please note that any existing bookings will not receive all our usual automations, which can create minor disruptions. We’ll handle communications from the point of transition, but if there are specific guests or conversations you wish to manage, let us know upfront to avoid any confusion.
- Damage Requests: For any damage claims through Aircover, payments will go directly to the listing owner. If Open Air Homes covers costs upfront, we’ll coordinate with you for reimbursement.
- Onboarding Process: To ensure a smooth transition, we treat each co-hosting arrangement like a new listing. This includes completing a homeowner questionnaire, an onsite inspection with our property manager, and setting up all necessary details in our system.
