A hidden gem. If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese experience, Kagura is it. They have quite possibly the most delicious bento boxes that include an assortment of 4-5 items with a bunch of side dishes. The portions are generous, and the staff is attentive.

This mall was remodeled a few years ago. Del Amo Fashion Center is truly one of the best malls in Los Angeles. It’s modern design and popular stores make every visit a great shopping experience. The mall is very large with both an indoor and outdoor section, so be prepared to walk. However, the quantity and quality of stores at this mall is great!

Free admission! Located at the end of Manhattan Beach pier that’s perfect for small children. The staff is informative and friendly. This is a small aquarium but if you are going for a stroll down the pier, watching surfers, this is a nice addition.

Bike the Strand
The Strand is a 22-mile paved path extending from Pacific Palisades (close to Santa Monica) to Torrance. Most of this trail hugs the coast of Los Angeles County. The section within the South Bay is approximately 9 miles long.
